The failure and lack of vision of the MVRA
03/06/2009
Not only has the MVRA failed to protect our suburb from the visual pollution of Telstra’s black cables and the hideously ugly poles they hang off but the MVRA lacks the vision to put forward any kind of alternternative.
At the RAMV we value our suburb’s true Victorian heritage and have the imagination to enhance it. At the suggestion of RAMV member Ralph M Codger, we will be beginning a campaign to bring the Gas Lamp to Mount Victoria. It’s not just about preserving our heritage, it’s about enhancing it.
Evidence of the MVRA’s lack of commitment
02/06/2009
One only has to look at website of the Mount Victoria Residents Asssociation to see how uncommitted they are to Mount Victoria’s heritage.

ART DECO! How can these people claim to care about our suburb’s heritage when they tolerate this abomination? Art Deco buildings have been blighting our suburb since the 1930s.
Had we had a true residents association back then perhaps these inappropriate developments would never have been built!
Introduction
01/06/2009
Following the appallingly unprincipled positions of the Mount Victoria Residents Association (MVRA) it became clear the the community needed to take action. In response the Residents Association of Mount Victoria (RAMV) has been formed.
The RAMV will not tolerate the the wishy-washy, developers-friend attitudes of the MVRA. RAMV will seek to protect and promote the heritage values of Mount Victoria. Unlike the MVRA that purports to represent the views of the community the RAMV will be the voice of all true Mount Victorians.
